Street Outreach is at the heart of our mission. We are committed to reaching people where they are, actively going out into communities and onto the streets to connect with individuals facing homelessness, addiction, isolation, and other life-controlling challenges.
We believe in proactive support — not waiting for people to seek help alone, but building trust through consistent presence, compassion, and relationship.
Our outreach teams provide practical support, conversation, encouragement, and pathways into further services and recovery support. Through every interaction, our aim is to help people feel seen, valued, and supported while offering hope for positive change.

Multiple times each week, across Glasgow and surrounding areas, our dedicated staff and trained volunteers go out into the community to offer compassion, conversation, practical support, and guidance.
Through consistent outreach and relationship-building, we aim to encourage and empower individuals facing homelessness, addiction, isolation, and other challenges, helping them take positive steps towards support, stability, and recovery. Many of those we go on to work with more intensively are those we meet on the streets.
I can’t speak highly enough about what Street Connect has done for me. I was a homeless drug addict living on the streets of Glasgow and had been on drugs for over 20 years. I could see no way out until I met [a member of Street Connect staff]. When he spoke to me and offered to take me for a coffee I agreed, and it’s one of the best decisions of my life, everything has changed for the better since that day. It’s 10 months since then and I’m no longer on drugs, will be off my methadone soon and now have my own place. I now see a future for myself.
