We know it can be difficult re-integrating back into the community after completing a residential rehab programme, so we want to be there to offer support.

Street Connect have move-on accommodation which comes with a personalised and holistic support package that will enable the successful applicant to reintegrate into the community after residential rehabilitation. The move-on programme is designed for a flexible term of 6-18 months (duration depends on individual needs and circumstances). We would expect participants to find their substance-free identity through developing independent living skills. With our encouragement and support, your self-confidence will grow, enabling social mobility.

The city of Glasgow holds a rich array of opportunities for resettlement and Street Connect provides recovery coaching through one-to-one support and community recovery groups plus a variety of targeted activities. Employability development is a high priority throughout your time in the move-on accommodation with opportunities in formal volunteering and accredited education in collaboration with our partners at Glasgow Kelvin College and Glesga Roasters (a coffee roastery and Barista training centre), amongst others.

Street Connect’s Projects Team is another employability initiative, offering yet another opportunity for developing skills and getting work ready. We have well-established employment pathways, internships and connections across the city to support you to find the right direction forward in your life so you can grow to be the best version of yourself and live the life you always dreamed of living.

The move-on accommodation is a safe, substance-free, modern and fully furnished living space where the pressure is lifted from you so you can focus on this next season of your recovery and accelerate your further development through independent living skills and a long-sighted approach to success.

I am grateful for the move on flats because they have helped me navigating out of addicition recovery. When I left Teen Challenge, I was in a transition where I could not find work, not in a stable place and still needed support.  The move on flats gave me a safe place to work on my future and receive support. I am now in the process of moving into my own flat.

I am now a project worker to help others in their recovery journey, it is a blessing to be able to help others in that process.
