We are delighted to announce our latest venture in partnership with Clay Community Church in Possilpark, one of Glasgow’s most deprived areas. We will be running a Street Connect drop-in from 1 – 3pm every Friday beginning on Friday 13th January 2017. This drop-in will be based at the Grove on Saracen Street (the main street in Possilpark) and will be a drop-in centre for anyone suffering with life controlling issues. This will also include a team going out onto the street to speak with local men and women who have any life controlling issues such as addiction and mental health, and inviting them back into the drop-in. If any of the individuals are looking for further support, we can offer 1-2-1 support as well as filtering them down to our city centre work for our Community Recovery Groups and again accessing any further support to help them progress towards their goals. We have had a great relationship with Clay Community Church for a number of years now and see this as an exciting opportunity to help further establish this relationship, but more importantly, to help offer support to those in need in the area. As part of our future vision, we want to be working in partnership with local churches to run drop-in’s in some of Glasgow’s and the surrounding areas, most deprived areas, and are very excited that we are now able to begin this venture in the Possilpark area.
