During the week leading up to the 31st August, we joined communities across the globe in marking International Overdose Awareness Day—a time to honor lives lost to overdose, stand alongside those affected, and highlight the importance of prevention and treatment.

In Renfrewshire, the week was filled with meaningful events, from memorial gatherings to public awareness initiatives. Each occasion offered space for reflection, learning, and strengthening community support.

The Awareness Day may be over – but our work continues.
