Role description: Community fundraising or participating in sponsored events.

Benefits to the volunteer: The work of Street Connect cannot exist without funding, so the work you will do is vital.  This will strengthen your confidence as you see your hard work materialising in the growth of the charity and know that you are making a real difference to your community.

Main Tasks: You will be participating in and/or helping to organise fundraising events.

Fundraisers you can take part in: If sports isn’t your thing, why not try:

• Bake sale at your church / community hall
• Car boot sale
• Car wash etc…

Required skills, qualities and experience: You do not need to have any related qualifications for this role. You need to be fit for what you set out to do and be able to work as part of a team.

Support available: If you are doing a sponsored event we will help you get on to Just Giving. You will recieve a paper sponsor form for in person / cash donations.  If you are putting on event, let us know where and when so we can help you out with publicity and give you some pointers.

Reimbursement of expenses: Out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed, including travel expenses. Entrance fees will be covered up to £25 per person.

Other requirements: You require to be 16+ years of age and in sympathy with the Christian faith.
