Chief Executive

Ricky is our Co-Founder & Chief Executive and has been leading the work of Street Connect since it began in 2013.

Ricky also ran an outreach for a church in Ilford previously and has been involved in similar activities since 2011. His personal background of facing challenging times, further equips him to empathise and understand our client group at a deeper level. His God inspired vision to see people set free from a variety of life controlling issues and the local church being empowered to reach the lost is what continues to drive and motivate him and the organisation.

Andrew Pont

Head of Business Development

Andrew has been with Street Connect since 2017.

Andrew joined the organisation in 2017, originally as a Trusts and Grants Fundraiser, then as Business Manager, General Manager and now in his present role as Head of Business Development. Andrew has a wealth of experience working for a local authority and was also previously a missionary in Uruguay, supporting people in real need. He works closely with Ricky, our Chief Executive, to implement the vision of the organisation; leading, developing and maintaining control of the Business Support, Fundraising/Income Generation & Marketing functions.

Julie McAddock

Head of Operations

Julie is our Co-Founder and has been involved since its conception in 2013.

The vision for the work began out of Julie’s passion to see a work developed amongst women on the streets of Glasgow city centre. The work grew beyond just women, but her heart to see women set free from a variety of life controlling issues has seen her progress from Women’s Support Worker to her current role. Julie is part of our operational management and leadership teams and leads the Operations Team of the organisation. She is also involved in the development of our new partnership projects.

Iain Duncan

Business Support Manager

Iain joined Street Connect in 2017.

Iain leads our Business Support Team and is part of our operational management and leadership teams. His role covers a variety of aspects of the business side of the organisation, including management of IT, HR, finance and data, as well as responsibility for risk, GDPR, website maintenance and development, oversight of volunteers and many other aspects around our Head Office in Glasgow city centre.

David Connell

David Connell

Operations Manager

David joined the Street Connect staff team in 2020.

David works with our team in Paisley and works closely with our Operations Manager. He has worked with people with life controlling problems for 17 years, including leading a group of volunteers on the Teen Challenge bus in Paisley for a number of years, leading ‘ICTHUS’ support group and a drop-in cafe.

Andrew (Andy) Brady

Partnerships Manager (Acting)

Andy joined Street Connect in 2025.

Prior to joining Street Connect, Andy worked in engineering and was pastor in multiple churches, served as chaplain at Partick Thistle Football Club and was the Dean of the Bible College where he gained his HNC in Counselling and Christian Counselling, alongside gaining a Diploma in Christian Leadership. Andy has a powerful testimony of transformation from living a life addicted to the adrenaline rush that came from gang violence, drug taking and living a party lifestyle, until God got a hold of him.

Anne Walker

Income Generation Development Coordinator

Anne has been part of the Street Connect staff team since 2017.

Anne joined Street Connect in 2017, originally as a Trusts and Grants Fundraiser, then General Fundraiser and then as Income Generation Development Coordinator. Anne has significant experience gained from working for a social enterprise in fundraising & communications and was also previously a missionary in Brazil, supporting people in favelas and rural deprivation. Anne supports our fundraising strategy, coordinating the work on trusts and grants, statutory funding (including tendering opportunities) and the development of social enterprise initiatives.

Stephen Smith

Partnership Coordinator

Stephen joined the Street Connect staff team in 2023.

Having had a successful business career for 18 years, Stephen entered Christian ministry in 2004. After serving as Assistant Pastor in a congregation in Motherwell, he and his family spent the following 12 years (2006-2018) ministering in two congregations in Essex and East Sussex, England. Having returned to Scotland, he has ministered to marginalised communities within Glasgow City Mission, Church of Scotland Priority Areas, served as a Chaplain within Scottish Prison Service, and is Chairman of a Street Connect Partnership Charity, Connect2 Teen Challenge Forth Valley.

Lee joined Street Connect in 2020.

Lee, who previously worked at The Haven Kilmacolm, has joined Street Connect to help support our male participants and will be involved in Street Outreach and work at our project locations. Lee has an amazing testimony of being set free from drugs and passionately shares his testimony to help others.

Martin McLeod

Aftercare Coordinator

Martin joined Street Connect in 2022.

In his role, Martin has been involved in our Recovery Groups in Clydebank, Govan and Greenock. Martin Completed Teen Challenge Leadership Academy in Nottingham in 2021 where he discovered a real transformation was possible after a life struggling with addiction. Martin values a community that reaches out to the most vulnerable in society and is passionate about helping people to become the best versions of themselves. 

Callum Blair

Trusts & Grants Fundraiser

Callum joined Street Connect in 2023.

Having successfully completed a 6-month internship as a Support Assistant, covering Business Support and Fundraising, Callum is now in his new role. A graduate in 2022 from the University of Glasgow, with an MSc in Environment and Sustainable Development, Callum has a keen interest in Scotland’s third sector and is looking forward to contributing towards Street Connect’s mission.

Trusts & Grants Fundraiser (Graduate Intern)

Florence joined the team in mid-2026 as an intern after graduating with a degree in International Relations and German in 2025.

Inspired by her faith and Jesus’ call to love all people and care for their spiritual and physical needs, she engaged in local volunteering and fundraising campaigns while at university, mainly through her involvement with the Christian charity Just Love UK. Florence is now excited to support the vital work of Street Connect.

Chloe joined the Street Connect team in 2021.

With voluntary experience working with human trafficking and domestic violence organisations, Chloe has a passion for seeing people reform their lives and finding hope for their future. Chloe is part of the communications team, helping to realise our goals and vision.

Laura Caldwell

Business Support Officer

Laura joined Street Connect in 2023.

Laura brings extensive experience in a broad range of business administration and training across the public, private, and third sector, as well as running her own sole trader business. Her previous roles have been involved in banking, recruitment, ministry of defence, emergency service projects and latterly charity administration and funding. Laura’s life is a testimony to the ongoing transforming power and renewal found in a life with Jesus.

Laura joined Street Connect Business Support team in 2026.

Laura previously worked as an administrator for Revive Church in Cape Town, using her skills to build and serve the church. She has since relocated to bonnie Scotland where she is loving learning about the Scots and their culture. She is passionate about the life change that Jesus can bring into people’s lives

Ruth Gilchrist

Ruth joined the Street Connect staff team in 2023.

Prior to joining Street Connect Ruth worked as a Women and Family Worker for a church in Glasgow. An integral part of her role there involved engaging with people in the local community. Ruth has always had a heart for the marginalised and most vulnerable members of society – whether it be in Glasgow or overseas. For the past 11 years Ruth has made regular trips to Uganda to work with vulnerable mums from a slum community, many of whom struggle with addiction. Ruth has a background is Primary School Teaching, and she is currently doing a Diploma in Counselling.

Brian joined the Street Connect staff team in 2024.

Brian is a transformed individual with a powerful testimony. Prior to giving his life to Jesus (On 26/04/16) he had been a heroin addict for around twenty years. This meant a chaotic life of homelessness, prison, self-harm, overdoses and broken family relationships. Brian used to live a life without hope, but now he wants to be used by God to share the hope that is found in Jesus with others who currently think as he once did!

Ruth joined Street Connect in 2023.

Having previous served with Street Connect in a volunteering capacity for over a year, Ruth has now joined the staff team. With a background in Occupational Therapy and working as a Community Pastor in Paisley for a decade, she has long-term relationships in the community with individuals and families so will be a great asset.

Kevin Mackie

Kevin joined Street Connect in 2025.

Kevin has been on a significant journey of recovery and renewal. He faced homelessness, addiction, and family breakdown. However, a reconnection with staff member Lee Gow led Kevin to a recovery group and then Kairos Church in Stirling, where he stopped using drugs, rebuilt family relationships, and gave his life to Jesus in December 2023.

After hearing about a Projects Worker role through church, Kevin felt prompted to apply. He now feels blessed to support others on their own paths toward hope and change.

Robert Seetul

Robert joined Street Connect in Spring 2026.

Robert had been in addiction for 20 years, “living in a desperate situation fearing being another statistic from Ferguslie Park in Paisley.” After meeting outreach workers for Turning Point Scotland (one who used to work with Street Connect) who introduced him to the idea of Teen Challenge, Robert went into Whitchester House in Duns in the Scottish borders, where he remained for 16 months graduating the Teen Challenge programme.

Since then, Robert has lived in one of our Move-On Flats, completed an Internship with us, gained a SVQ 3 in Health & Social Care, and now in his present role he’s back in Paisley helping others who find themselves where he once was.
